FOTD: Dressed up with nowhere to go

I did this makeup look a little while ago with intentions of going out to the library or Starbucks to study but I ended up just staying in my apartment. Pathetic I know haha.

FOTD: Mathletes and Athletes

Friday night I went to a "Mathletes and Athletes" party (which frankly I am not even close to either), and my friends and I decided to go as Athletes. I ended up just wearing my super short Lulu Lemon yoga shorts, and my friends Lulu Lemon Jacket. I didn't want to do my makeup too crazy cause it would clash with the whole athlete thing (I'm aware this isn't what most people would wear to go be athletic but it was a party I wasn't going to look scrubby)

So its tradition that my friend Marissa and I celebrate the end of each quarter by going out and doing something fun, and Feed Me just so happened to be playing at the Showbox the night of my last final. The venue probably wasn't the best for it (it was super packed and not nearly enough room to dance) but we had a blast anyways.

So heres my crazy face. I feel like Marissa's eyeshadow actually turned out better than mine, which was surprising and a little bit of a bummer haha (I'm selfish I know). I really need a better pink eyeshadow that won't just blend off when I try to add a crease color. Next time I might try doing my crease color first and then adding the lid color, or maybe if I'm lucky I'll pick up Makeup Forever's neon pink eyeshadow (I can dream right)

Feed Me: Marissa

I was a little nervous doing Marissa's eye makeup. While I'm comfortable doing my own makeup - Marissa has totally different coloring than I do and her eyes are different too (hello I'm half asian). Part of me was worried that she would end up looking like a clown/hating it, but in the end it was definitely worth the risk because we both really liked how it turned out. I really enjoyed seeing her wear bright eyeshadow and huge lashes because she usually sticks to subtle neutral colors and I bought those lashes for myself but they looked awful on me haha.

FOTD: Studying for finals.

This week was the last week of the quarter - and while most people have their finals spread out throughout next week, I have two Saturday, and one on Monday. Needless to say I feel like I've been drowning in studying. After work this morning, I came home and took a shower so that I could actually get ready for the rest of the day. I wanted to do something different than my everyday makeup, but I didn't want to spend a lot of time on my makeup today either. While looking through my stash I realized that I've had the Urban Decay Deluxe Palette for almost 2 years and I've never used the shade Honey, so I decided to base a look around that. I put the look together pretty quickly, I probably should have skipped the lashes but owell!
