Rainbow Polka Dot Nails
I've been itching to do something more to my nails than just painting them a solid color, but due to me ripping half my nails during bowling with some friends, I've been trying to wear colors that aren't going to make it really noticeable that my nails are all different lengths. I think that the busyness and consistency of this manicure work together to make it less noticeable that my nails are different lengths.
Here is a picture of the little set up I had. I used a dotting tool that I got from Sally's Beauty Supply to do the dots and a cuticle stick dipped in pure acetone to clean up any major nail polish spillage on my cuticles.
Nail polish I used:
Sally Hansen Hard As Wraps - Sheer Pink (For my base coat)
Sally Hansen - Whirlwind White
L.A. Girl - Disco Inferno
N.Y.C. - Times Square Tangerine Creme
L.A. Girl - Psychedelic
L.A. Girl - Can You Dig It?
Sally Hansen - Blue Me Away!
China Glaze - Flying Dragon
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
(Sally Hansen Pronto Purple snuck into the picture - it was used for my toenails)
Using a dotting tool makes everything really easy, you hardly have to worry about making the dots perfect since the tool pretty much does that for you. The hardest part was just being patient because alternating between 6 different colors for the dots takes a good chunk of time more than using just one color. Overall I'm really happy with how this manicure turned out, and it was definitely worth the time I put into it.

That looks so amazing! Did it take long to dry?

Thanks! It actually didn't, I put a coat of Seche Vite on after the white, and then again after the polka dots so it pretty much took care of it.
